Reviews for those navigating NYC/Jersey City in a wheelchair.
Being fairly new to the wheelchair, I have come to realize that all stores, restaurant and various establishments are not always prepared or even welcoming the unique challenges required to accommodate someone in a wheelchair. There have been times when I have been welcomed and my visit was made to be pleasant and enjoyable and there have been times when it was obvious, they would rather I not come back.
So, since I can find no reviews to help someone navigate the City in a wheelchair as well as identify the friendly and unfriendlies, I thought I would make a feeble attempt to provide some insight to places that work to make those of us physically challenged feel at home…and a review or two of the sidewalks and subway systems to get there.
