Snug as a Bug in a Rug, Baby Cocoon and Hat...

Here is my latest piece for the sweetest lady at our church who is on the verge of having her first baby.  Being as we've had such a cold winter,  I went about making a Baby Cocoon for her little one.  You simply slip the baby in the warm and soft cocoon and it allows the baby's arms and legs to move about while staying completely covered.  I added the fun little stretchy cap to keep the baby as warm as possible.  It was such pleasure to make; I can't wait to give it her on Sunday!
Lion Brand Wool-Ease
Thick and Quick
Color:
Claret #143
This is a nice Bulky (5) yarn that provides a lot of stretch and knits up nicely.   Being wool it provides good warmth but also being a Wool-Ease,  it washes and dries easily which is important when using for a baby project.  Don't let the word wool scare you away, it is not scratchy and while it is not cashmere soft it works well as an outer garments for a baby.
