Conquering the Two-at-a-Time Sock Method...

I'm a big sock knitter.  I love to knit socks!  However,  like most of us 'Sockies', knitting sock #2 is akin to climbing Mt. Everest!  For some reason, it's just hard to make yourself knit that second sock, so, I picked up the book Two-at-a-Time-Socks by Melissa Morgan-Oakes and it is wonderful.  It allows you to knit both of your socks at the same time on one long circular needle (For me, I like the Harmony Circulars from Knit Picks).  So far, so good, there are easy to understand instructions with clear pictures, even turning the heel was demonstrated so I could clearly understand it.  In fact, I just completed that part and am on to the gusset now.  Of course, once the heel is turned, the rest is easy sailing :-)  This test pair is being made for my Godson who is coming to see me in March.  I  can just picture that sweet boy running around our home, chasing our dogs and laughing while wearing these apple green socks.  It's something to look forward to!  We miss him so much...he is Swiss and lives in Bern so seeing him is a real treat!
