A Mug in a Cozy…

A little project for a cold winter day and a gift for someone special.

Glass Mug equipped with Cozy
I found an interesting glass mug that I thought was nice, heavy and would fit any decor.  I especially liked the shape.  Being as it was a plain glass mug, I wanted to personalize it a bit so I knitted up a mug cozy.  The original pattern has a bottom to it but with the shape of the mug, I left the bottom off which worked better.  It will do a nice job of keeping morning tea or coffee cozy warm while one prepares to tackle their day.

I chose a free pattern off KnitPicks and used Drops Muskat yarn in a Grey Green for the base color.  For the French Knots I used a Patons Baby Soft yarn in Peach.  I was pleased with the way it turned out and think it made a very special mug.
Cozy laid flat.

May God Bless and Keep You in His Grace,
Lynne
