Children in Front of the Freedom Tower at Night. It is finally taking shape. |
After enjoying a detailed discussion of the recent events on a knitting group I belonged to it was interesting to hear everyone's perspective. Some were relieved, other's were concerned about repercussions and some were concerned for the soul of Osama bin Laden. I certainly agree, it is never pleasant to know someone’s soul was lost but I have to think of the amount of other souls that were taken on a daily basis by the orders of that single person, all in the name of a false god. My mind tends to wander to the shocking story of Ananias and Sapphira to remember just how enraged God can become at sin. What must He have thought about a man whose desire was to persecute the innocent and to kill Christianity.
There is still a threat to our country and to Christians everywhere but I am not sure that will ever go away until Christ returns. We live in a very broken world and we pray for the protection of our loved ones on a daily basis. God has a work that still must be done and I believe He will clear the areas He needs to clear in order to further His Gospel as the blessed day approaches.
Victoria was at the World Trade the day after and there was great joy and songs and a sense of relief. No one thinks this is over but it somehow reminded us that God has not left us to suffer at the hands of evil doers but has given us a recourse. We still serve the one and only God who is bigger than any circumstances in this world.
May God Bless and Keep You in His Grace,
Lynne
