Ingredients: 5 lb of Hamburger 2 onions (yellow works best) diced. 2 tablespoons of butter 1 cup of Mild Salsa 1 cup of Hickory BBQ sauce 3 tblespoons of Mustard 2-3 cups of Ketchup 1 cup of brown sugar 1 teaspoon garlic salt Potato Bread slices or buns Monterray Jack cheese (optional) Saute the onions and butter together in a large skillet or medium pot, Cast iron preferred. Add the hamburger and salsa into the onion and cook uptil the hamburger is brown. Its important to stir the hamburger frequently to avoid large clumps of hamburger meat. If possible use hamburger meat that has not been frozen for the best taste. Once the hamburger is thoroughly cooked and drained add the garlic salt and mustard. Mix again and add the bbq sauce and half the ketchup. Continue to add ketchup to bring the mixture to the desired moisure level. Serve hot over bread with the Monterray Jack cheese as garnish. Cook time should be about 20 minutes.
